I came, I feasted, I satisfied my pho cravings. As a Vietnamese man with a VERY hard-to-beat reference point of grandma's pho, I have high standards. Let's see how 555 stood up to those standards.
Pho review
Broth: 4.5/5 - deliciously salty and rich oxtail broth that paired perfectly with lime, hoisin, and chili. Anise spice kick was not there for the balance though. Otherwise, a perfectly stewed broth in my book.
Noodles: 5/5 - using the correct banh pho squared rice noodles.
Meat: 5/5 - perfectly sliced rare beef steak + flank, very tender
Vegetable plate 5/5 - perfectly fresh bean sprouts, thai basil, juicy limes. Jalapeños were not sliced super small, but big chunks and I didn't brave it
The large really is large. My gf ordered the small and couldn't finish. I ordered the large and had maybe a half cup of broth leftover, but proud to have done work on the rest.
Will be back, this place has excellent pho. -

What I love about this place is that it's one of the best place for 3 AM food. But I often find the meat in my soup to be much and chewy. Yet if you're worried about portion size... you don't have to here. There's plenty of room, and it's unlikely you'll be waiting long. The bathrooms may be butt-cold, but the soup will warm you up.
As for the chewy meat, I always try to avoid that by ordering the steak on the side. The only thing is that you have to quickly add it in to prevent it from being raw. It's safe and delicious. -

Pho 555
An article recommended this place n the pics did look good enough 2 trick me 2 coming 2 this place..
Their medium #9 rare steak beef brisket add meatball that I had was ok.. the meat was tough n the broth didn't have much flavor nor richness 2 it.. the meatball was in slices.. ok
My wife's marinated beef was better but that didn't wow me nor the filet mignon meat that came in hers was tough so good thing she added the marinated beef
As we started eating, another table next 2 us was getting up from their table n leaving where a man told another, "see, this is the best pho place I took you to".. (2 myself thinking) I don't think so n I got 11 words
Wait until u come 2 Pho Bac Rainier here in Seattle -

We loved the spring rolls! The pho was Absolutely delicious and a few of us took some home. The service was also great! We're in Denver 4-5 times a year. This restaurant is a new favorite!

Gosh, after our night nation 5k, my friends and I were starving....lol We decided to hit up our favorite after hours place to eat. This place is casual and is always busy after hours, meaning they're open til like 3 or 4 am. Seems like everyone knows this place after a fun night and gets hungry. This place has not disappointed me yet. Been here way too many times during their after hours and the food is always so good, filling, and flavorful. It's great to know that there are places like this still open this late. This is my go to spot on a late and fun night. I will definitely be back again.
